Chief Executive Officer: Sean Blakeley

Sean Blakeley is the Chief Executive Officer of the BCCK. For the past seven years, he has helped to promote British business in the country and supported multiple western firms to partner with and sell into major Korean conglomerates. A 12-year resident of Korea, Sean was the director of business development with a Korean publishing company and was managing director of a British management consulting company prior to joining the Chamber in 2015.

Sean has worked with British companies across a broad range of sectors including electronics, retail, consumer goods, and F&B. Sean completed a master’s program at Seoul National University and speaks Korean fluently. LinkedIn

Taewon Um


Specialities: Industrial Materials / Financial Services / Energy / Automotive / ICT / Education / Life Sciences

Taewon Um is the Director of the BCCK’s Trade Services team. Taewon has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Prior to joining the BCCK, Taewon worked with a Korean government body to attract FDI and helped sign deals with major international healthcare institutions. Taewon also worked at the World Bank and the Embassy of Korea in Washington DC. Whilst at the BCCK, Taewon has worked with companies across a broad range of sectors including financial services and industrial materials amongst others. His past clients include SEI UK, Baillie Gifford (financial services), Altro, Trelleborg IAVS (industrial materials), and NextGen Technology (automotive & ICT). LinkedIn

Inwha Lee

Inwha Lee is a Coordinator in the BCCK’s Trade Services team. Inwha holds two bachelor’s degrees from Korea University in international studies and political science/international relations. Prior to joining the Chamber, Inwha worked at the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) assisting Official Development Assistance (ODA) projects and was also part of the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Korea. While at the BCCK, Inwha has worked with companies in a wide range of sectors from F&B to the creative industries. Her past clients include PizzaExpress (F&B) and the Casual Dining Group (F&B), FITCH (retail & branding), Cambridge Consultants (product design) Sherlock Studio (interior design). LinkedIn

Sungji Moon


Sungji Moon is a Coordinator at the BCCK’s Trade Services Team. Prior to joining the BCCK, Sungji worked at an India-based NGO supporting their applications for funding, conducted market research on Middle Eastern markets at TNS Korea, and provided support to students as an educational consultant. Sungji received his bachelor’s degree from University College London (UCL) in the United Kingdom.

Youjin Lee


Youjin Lee is a Trade Services Coordinator at the BCCK. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications from Indiana University Bloomington. Prior to joining the British Chamber of Commerce, she worked at Korean Air and was a research assistant at Nielsen where she conducted market research on Southeast Asian markets.

Minjung Ko

Senior Manager

Minjung Ko is the BCCK Events team’s Senior Manager. Minjung holds a B.A. in interior design. Prior to joining the Chamber, she worked at Teo Yang Studio, a high-end interior design service, and as a freelancer designer. While at the BCCK, she has planned, organised and managed the BCCK’s flagship events, including the Queen’s Birthday Ball (QBB) and Christmas Lunch. Minjung has also organized and run collaborative events with Jo Malone LondonKenwoodSC Bank and others. She has also worked to promote a large number of British brands including DiageoJaguar Land RoverBritish AirwaysBurberry and Denby.  LinkedIn

Jungmin Son


Jungmin Son is the BCCK’s Events Coordinator. Jungmin holds a bachelor’s degree from Anyang University in digital media design. Prior to joining the BCCK, Jungmin worked as a graphic journalist at Yonhap News, where she worked with the Rio Olympics and specialized in the design of infographics. At the BCCK, she supports the planning and management of events at the BCCK, from our networking events to content-driven functions. Jungmin is also responsible for designing the Chamber’s event and advertising flyers, including the BCCK media kit. While at the BCCK, she has worked with various companies including the Grand Hyatt Seoul, Clinique, Alitalia, Neal’s Yard Remedies and SABMillerLinkedIn

Marketing & Communications

Mijung Lee


Mijung Lee is the BCCK’s Marketing & Communications Coordinator. Mijung holds two bachelor’s degrees from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in media communications and English interpretation & translation. Mijung is responsible for the overall marketing strategy and external communications of the Chamber. This includes building and managing the media relations and Chamber’s marketing channels such as the BCCK’s website, social media platforms and webzine FOCUS. Prior to joining the BCCK, Mijung worked in a communications consulting company as a research analyst and in the accounting team for Marvel’s South Korean Unit for ‘Avengers2’. While at the BCCK, Mijung has worked with companies such as Fortnum & MasonSC Bank, Truefitt & Hill, Indulge, and EF Korea.  LinkedIn

Finance & Office Administration

Juyeon Moon

Senior Manager

Juyeon Moon is the BCCK’s Finance & Office Administration Senior Manager. Juyeon holds a masters of science in business management from Hanyang University. She is responsible for managing the BCCK’s finances, human resources and office administration duties. Prior to joining the BCCK, Juyeon worked for 10 years as a health, safety, and environmental program coordinator, administrative officer and indirect procurement manager at a Norwegian company.

Government Relations

Eunha Kim

Senior Manager

Eunha Kim is the Government Relations Senior Manager of the BCCK. In this role, Eunha works in conjunction with the Market Access Committee of the BCCK to oversee the research and implementation of the Chamber’s advocacy strategies on behalf of its members. Prior to joining the BCCK, Eunha worked at Goldman Sachs in the United States, Japan and Hong Kong as an intelligence analyst. Eunha holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in International Relations from Georgetown University and Johns Hopkins University respectively.

Joohee Kim

Senior Manager

Joohee Kim is the Membership Manager of the BCCK. In this role, Joohee manages the member companies of the Chamber, building and maintaining good relationships with and between them as well as liaising with prospective members in order to inform them of the benefits of joining the BCCK. Joohee holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications and prior to joining the BCCK, worked at the Korea Business Leaders Alliance (KBLA) as a Community Relations Manager.
